Judicial Inspectorate conducts extensive controls at the DNA

The Judicial Inspection is conducting a new thematic control at the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) on Monday, the institution’s spokesman Alin Alexandru has announced.

According to Alexandru, the control is aimed at the receiving, registering and the circuit of the documents regarding the final payments registered during 2016 – H1 2017, the record of these activities, checking on the meeting of the objectives included in the activity programmes for 2016 – H1 2017 regarding the situation of the final payments, verification of the situation of the final payments during 2016 – H1 2017 at the level of the DNA’s judicial section, capital.ro informs.

At the same time, according to Alin Alexandru, through this control, it is also envisaged to identify in each case the date of the first court notification and the moment of pronouncing the final solution, the information regarding the final acquittal decisions, drawn up following the Order of the Prosecutor General of the Prosecutor’s Office upon the High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ – Supreme Court) on the final decisions of acquittal and restitution issued by the courts and the measures ordered by the prosecutors with leading positions for organizing the activity regarding the final payments during 2016 – H1 2017.

The past inspection conducted by the Judicial Inspectorate at the DNA offices took place during April 16-20, realitatea.net reports.

According to the Judicial Inspectorate, the controls aimed to ‘remedy some deficiencies’, the inspection team being made up by three inspectors. The report is to be sent to the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) by May 25.

The control was decided upon by the CSM, the prosecutors section, by a decision on October 31, 2017.
