In September, ParkLake Shopping Center will host two major events for astronomy enthusiasts and young people seeking their professional path. These two events, organized by ParkLake in September, offer participants the chance to explore both the mysteries of the cosmos and their own aspirations and talents.

AstroShow 2024 – A Fascinating Cosmic Journey

On September 21, ParkLake will turn into an open-air observatory with the start of AstroShow 2024, an event dedicated to exploring the mysteries of the universe. Starting at 6:30 PM, participants will be invited to explore the night sky through state-of-the-art telescopes, offering impressive views of planets and stars.

One of the highlights of AstroShow 2024 will be planetary observations, starting after 8:30 PM, when participants will be able to admire Saturn’s spectacular rings in all their glory. Discovered by Galileo Galilei in 1610, these fascinating structures continue to amaze and captivate the imagination of astronomers and star enthusiasts alike.

For the first time in Romania, the event will feature the revolutionary Planeterrella stand, created by young researchers from the Institute of Space Sciences. This innovative device will provide participants with a captivating look at the formation of plasma and polar auroras, opening a window into one of the universe’s most mysterious phenomena.

Another major attraction will be the “Monster of Telescopes,” a giant telescope with a 400mm mirror, allowing detailed exploration of the sky. With the help of this impressive equipment, participants will be able to observe the Moon’s craters, Jupiter, and globular clusters with extraordinary clarity.

In addition to astronomical observations, renowned astronomer and eclipse chaser Catalin Beldea will give interactive presentations, offering unique insights into the formation of the Sun and the planets of the Solar System. The audience will have the opportunity to learn exclusive details about his upcoming expedition to observe the total solar eclipse in America in April 2024 and explore the most captivating astronomical phenomena by asking questions directly to the expert.

For younger explorers, “Professor Trasnit” will turn science into a playful learning experience, engaging children in interactive experiments covering chemistry, physics, and astronomy. This will be a unique opportunity for kids to explore the world of science in a fun and educational way.

AstroShow 2024 aims to challenge curious minds by organizing interactive sessions where the best questions will be rewarded with special prizes. On September 28, from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM, ParkLake will open its doors for the “My Vocation” event, dedicated to career guidance and personal development. The event aims to offer young people the opportunity to explore various career options and receive guidance from top professionals in multiple industries, including education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, aviation, architecture, and psychology.
