King Mihai hospitalised. Find out his condition

King Mihai has been admitted to a medical clinic in Lausanne five days ago and ‘is a pronounced pysical faintness condition’, the Press Bureau of His Majesty informed on Friday.

“Out of respect for His Majesty, the name of the clinic will note given to the public. The king is in a pronounced faintness condition and receives treatment on a regular basis. His condition is stationary for the moment and the doctors say that his evolution is relatively stable,” reads the press release.

As for Queen Anne, the press bureau of the former sovereign stated that she is at their private residence in Switzerland and was informed about her husband’s hospitalisation. She is also in a stable condition, following a treatment typical to her age.

According to the Royal Secretariat, the Crown Princess Margareta and Prince Radu are also in Switzerland visiting the King and the Queen, while the other daughters of the royal couple will schedule visits in Switzerland to see their parents. “They are watching their father’s health evolution with sadness but with hope”.

“The Custodian of the Crown is thanking all those who were generous to send cheer messages to King Mihai and Queen Annne. The Royal family is moved by the depth of the people’s feelings for the King and the Crown, as well as by the mass media’s decency in covering the sad and alarming event,” the press release concludes.

Two days ago, His Majesty King Mihai I announced he would withdraw from public life in favour of his eldest daughter, Crown Princess Margareta of Romania due to some serious health problems.
