Bombonica Dragnea – investigated by DNA for abuse of office

The wife of Social-democrat leader Liviu Dragnea, Bombonica, was heard by the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) on Thursday in a corruption file, according to judicial sources quoted by adevarul.ro. According to the sources, she is accused on abuse of office when she worked with a state institution.
The hearings lasted for about an hour. Currently, the prosecutors have not announced the charges against Dragnea’s wife.
According to the latest wealth statement submitted by Liviu Dragnea, his wife is economist with Hotel Turris SA, company owned by Bombonica Dragnea. Until 2011 she had worked with the Teleorman Social Assistance and Child Protection Directorate as coordinator.
Some sources say Liviu Dragnea and Bombonica Dragnea allegedly have divorced, as the media informed. Liviu Dragnea refused to confirm or deny the information. “This is a personal matter and I want it to remain personal. Thank you for your understanding,” Dragnea said at the time.
