Burglars rig dismantled in Bucharest. They were using noise-free devices to break in
Romanian burglars have new more silent ways to break in. Bucharest Police have recently dismantled one of the most intelligent rigs of burglars who were operating in the Capital and near by. The police officers have been trying to catch them for more than a year.
The burglars used some devices to break in without forcing the lock and without leaving traces. The leader was a businessman who owns a hotel in Voluntari and several shops in Europa Complex. During all this time, the thieves managed to rob 11 houses and to steal jewelry and goods worth over RON 80,000.
“The suspects used special devices to break in. They were usually covering up their tracks,” Police spokesperson Bogdan Ghebaur told Digi24.
More precisely, the burglars studied all types of alarms and locks and manufactured special noise-free devices to inactivate them. Such a device was tracked down in the house of the group leader.
Most of the times the burglars’ victims we not even realizing they were robbed unless after several weeks.
The leader of the rig and one of his accomplices have been placed in remand in this case.
