The Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) endorsed the report of the Judicial Inspection and decided during the meeting on Tuesday that Prime Minister Victor Ponta has violated the independence of judiciary when he declared that the DNA prosecutor who indicted him in the Turceni-Rovinari file is ‘totally unprofessional’ and that he aims ‘to make a career by inventing and imagining untrue facts and circumstances which allegedly happened 10 years ago,” romanialibera.ro reports.
ICCJ (Supreme Court) President Livia Stanciu, while leaving the CSM meeting, said that the official release will explain everything, but that she does not know the exact number of votes.
