DNA lays sequester on a number of accounts and buildings belonging to Iulian Hertanu and Sebastian Ghita
The DNA prosecutors have laid sequester on a number of accounts and buildings belonging to Iulian Hertanu, brother in law of Prime Minister Victor Ponta, and to the other defendants in his file: businessman and MP Sebastian Ghita, Prahova County Council President Mircea Cosma and his son, MP Vlad Cosma, digi24.ro informs. The four defendants were presented on Tuesday morning to the DNA Ploiesti.
Iulian Hertanu, brother in law of Prime Minister Victor Ponta, is accused by the DNA prosecutors that through his company, he had fraudulently obtained a contract with European funds to extend the sewerage system of Comarnic city.
MP Sebastian Ghita (photo) said on Tuesday, while leaving DNA Ploiesti, that the prosecutors have laid restraint on his real estate and his accounts, adding that he is not guilty in the case in the file in which he is accused of favouring the criminal group.
PM Ponta’s brother in law Iulian Hertanu is accused of setting up an organized criminal group and for European funds embezzlement. In the same file other persons are investigated including MPs Sebastian Ghita, Vlad Cosma and the Prahova County Council President Mircea Cosma, accused of supporting the criminal group.
DNA Ploiesti prosecutors have extended on April 17, for 60 days, the judicial control for PSD deputy Sebastian Ghita.
