Former PSD chairman Liviu Dragnea, serving 3 years and 6 months in prison, has returned to his usual job, meaning he is repairing the cars of the Penitentiaries’ Administration, Digi24 reports.

Sources within the penitentiary system said that Dragnea had received the green light to work in the car garage of the Rahova Penitentiary.

Liviu Dragnea has graduated the Road Transport Faculty of the Polytechnic University in Bucharest and his first job was at the car unit of the Transport and Heavy Equipment Factory in Craiova.

By the law, a prisoner earns a day off of his jail sentence if he is serving community time behind bars, more precisely 1 day off of prison every four days of work time.

Liviu Dragnea was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison in the fictitious hiring final, following a final ruling pronounced on May 26, the next day after the EP elections.

After 21 days in quarantine, a committee decided that the former PSD leader would serve his sentence at the Rahova Penitentiary.
