General Anti-corruption Direction (DGA) has new chief

Police chief commissioner Valentin-Claudiu Constantin has been appointed the new head of the General Anti-corruption Direction (DGA) after the former chief, Catalin Ionita, had been become the head of the Romanian Police.

Valentin-Claudiu Constantin graduated „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” Police Academy and started his career at the Interior Ministry in 2002, as investigator at the Bucharest Police.

Later on he specialized in the field of information analysis within DGA and attended the EU mission in Kosovo, EULEX, during 2008-2010 and during 2013-2016. He has also been deputy secretary general at ANAF since March 2017.
