Judicial control – extended by 60 days for Sebastian Ghita
DNA Ploiesti prosecutors have extended on Friday, for 60 days, the judicial control for PSD deputy Sebastian Ghita, in the file of Iulian Hertanu, brother in law of Prime Minister Victor Ponta. The MP stated, while exiting the DNA offices that he hasn’t been explained the reasons for extending the measure.
MP Sebastian Ghita said the prosecutors have extended the judicial control decided two months ago in the file that is under investigation for supporting a criminal group.
MP Sebastian Ghita was brought by warrant on February 17 to DNA Ploiesti, as suspect in the same file which concerns Iulian Hertanu, brother in law of Prime Minister Ponta.
On February 23 the DNA prosecutors carried out searches to two companies in Voluntari, Ilfov County, one of which belongs to MP Sebastian Ghita’s brother, in a file regarding an auction of the Ministry of Education in 2013 for an EU funded project, worth EUR 33 million.
