More than 400 kilos of drugs seized in just 2 months last year
A record capture of drugs was recorded last year in Romania. Over just 2 months (in April and July), the Romanian Police seized 70 kilos of black cocaine, hidden in furniture items and 333 kilos of heroine, transported in two lorries.
Last year Romanian Police conducted over 600 missions, while dismantling 60 criminal organized crime groups specialized in drug trafficking.
‘In April 2015, police officers seized 70 kilos of black cocaine shipped from Germany, worth EUR 4.2 M. In order to hide them, the traffickers had injected the drugs in the inner walls of several furniture items. Romanian authorities collaborated with the German ones on this case. Similarly, in July, policemen seized 333 kilos of heroine hidden in the tank of a lorry and conducted in the same case 5 searches, seizing EUR 136,000, 2 luxury cars, several mobile phones, computers and laptops,” reads a statement for Agerpres.
