Deputy Nicuşor Dan went to the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) offices on Friday, as Deputy Chairman of the Save Bucharest Association to file a criminal complaint against Bucharest Mayor Gabriela Firea following the approval by General Council of the Capital, in January, of the Area Town Planning for District 3, by which has allegedly changed the destination of six plots of land of approximately 43 hectares of green space into buildable space.
“We do not file complain against the general counselors who voted for the District 3 Area Town Planning in late January. We are filing a criminal complaint against (…) the chief architect of Bucharest, Stefan Călin Dumitraşcu, against the mayor general Gabriela Firea, the director of the Legal Department of the City Hall, Adrian Iordache, and the secretary general of Bucharest, Georgiana Zamfir, for proposing an obvious illegal Area Town Planning,” Nicuşor Dan said at the headquarters of the National Anticorruption Directorate.
He specified that the offense he is claiming is abuse of office with undue benefits to another, which attracts the DNA competence.
Nicusor Dan argues a surplus of 1.2 million square meters would be created following the decision.
