A Romanian businessman was arrested for sexual harassment in UK last week. Dorin Iacob, who was also in politics, former executive secretary of the Democrat Party, was detained on August 27, under the charge of sexually harassing a woman during a massage session in a hotel in Manchester, judiciary sources told Mediafax.
The harassment deed would have occurred on August 26 at Mercure Mercure Norton Grange Hotel and Spa, in Manchester, where the businessman was accommodated with his wife and daughter.
According to the above-mentioned sources, Dorin Iacob went to a massage session in the hotel’s spa area on August 26 in the morning. A day later, the Romanian businessman has been taken into custody by the British policemen and subsequently arrested being charged with sexual harassment upon the massage girl.
Dorin Iacob was executive secretary of the Democrat Party, during the electoral campaign for the 2004 local elections. Before 1989, he was officer within the Interior Minister. After the Revolution, he worked in the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI), being also Virgil Magureanu’s head of cabinet.
