RON 480 M recovered by Police from financial frauds this year
The Romanian Police informed that RON 480 M have been recovered from financial frauds in the first ten months of the year, with precautionary measures worth over RON 1 bln being ordered.
“Police officers recovered prejudices worth RON 481,840,000 in cash or bank accounts and precautionary measures worth RON 1,065,568,000 have been ordered in the first ten months of this year. There were 1,957 indictments and 955 cases have been declined to other bodies. Preventive measures including arrests have been enforced for 1,324 people,” says the Romanian Police in a press release.
5,679 checks have been conducted within the “Smoke 2016” action plan to counter illegal cigarette smuggling.
“17,356 commercial operators have been searched, 2,476 criminal files were opened for 2,460 crimes. 317 people have been detained. So far, RON 7,747,191 have been recovered,” says the Police release.
