Searches carried out at suspects of theft from archaeological sites in Constanta
Constanta police conducted six house searches and at commercial companies in Constanta on Friday morning, targeting suspected thefts from archaeological sites, estimated damage being so far of about EUR 15,000.
Following investigations, the investigators determined that during 2014, the suspects allegedly have stolen coins and pottery belonging to the cultural heritage, and later sold them through various companies. The estimated damage amounts to about EUR 15,000.
Three of the suspects were to be taken for hearings at the headquarters of the Police Inspectorate of Constanta County.
