Senator Mircea Geoana was heard by anticorruption prosecutors Wednesday morning. On his way out from the DNA, Mircea Geoana said he was heard by DNA to clarify “some procedural issues”, without making other remarks about the file and the quality in question, ziare.com informs.

“I came here to clarify some procedural issues and I did that,” said Mircea Geoana on his way out from the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA), where he stayed about 20 minutes.

Judicial sources say that Mircea Geoana has been called by DNA prosecutors because he supposedly received from Marian Vanghelie three watches from the bribes the latter had allegedly received while being District 5 mayor.

According to sources, Geoana has admitted receiving three watches from Vanghelie, but he said he did not know of the alleged bribes received by the mayor.

Mircea Geoana has also been heard by the DNA on May 13.
