The case of the Romanian shot in Italy: Owner lied, the alleged burglar was not in the house
New information popped up in the case of the Italian pensioner who shot a Romanian to death in his villa near Milan. More precisely, according to La Stampa, the pensioner gave false statements to the investigators, as they believe the alleged burglar was on the outside stairs of the villa at the moment of the incident and not inside the villa, as the owner had stated.
The quoted sources say the investigators haven’t found any blood marks inside the house, so prosecutors Alberto Nobili and Antonio Pastore are contesting the version of the pensioner. Moreover, the Italian authorities established the Romanian was unarmed.
“The Romanian was shot straight in his heart, while he was on the outside stairs of the villa; he hadn’t broken into the house yet,” a source close to the investigation unveiled.
Francesco Sicignano, 65, has been prosecuted for aggravated first-degree murder, after the initial legal qualification pointed to first-degree self defence murder.
