Two Romanian citizens injured in shootout with Albanians, on the outskirts of Rome

Two Romanian citizens were injured on Thursday near Rome, in a shootout with a group of Albanians, Italian local authorities inform in an official statement.
The armed incident took place on Thursday morning in the parking lot of the Fornaci shopping centre, located between the towns of Ceccano and Frosinone, in the Lazio region, on the outskirts of Rome.
During an altercation between a group of Romanians and the Albanian one, two Romanian citizens were shot with firearms, Frosinone Carabinieri Commandment informs.
The two Romanian citizens were urgently transported to Spaziani hospital in Frosinone. One of them, aged 26, suffered a wound in the stomach, and the second, which is 43 years old, was wounded in the abdomen. Doctors say that Romanians’ condition is serious, but not life threatening.
One of the assailants, a 27-year-old Albanian, was arrested a few hours later, on charges of attempted murder. The other Albanian is still sought by the Italian authorities.
