Vlad Pascu’s mother arrested for 30 days

Miruna Pascu, the mother of the 19-year-old boy who, being drugged, killed two young men in 2 Mai seaside resort, was taken into custody for 30 days, being accused by the prosecutors of having threatened a young woman from her son’s entourage that she would publish compromising data about her if she will denounce him.

Miruna Pascu was arrested for crimes against the administration of justice, being accused of trying to blackmail witnesses in the case in which her son is being investigated.

In the investigators’ interceptions, the woman urged one of Vlad Pascu’s friends to lie to the prosecutors, Digi24 reports. Moreover, the girls who filed the complaint said that Vlad Pascu’s mother gave his son narcotics. In parallel, new details also appear about the network of traffickers to which the boy was connected. These are dealers who are 18 years old and used to go to huge parties where they sold drugs. Vlad Pascu told the prosecutors who the traffickers were and what they were doing.

Adrian Nedea, the woman’s lawyer, said that she has already contested the preventive arrest decision. “Vlad Pascu is in custody, his father is under judicial control, his mother is under preventive arrest. It’s a dramatic situation for the whole family (…) The parents are divorced, they have a minor child alone at home”, said Miruna Pascu’s lawyer.

He refused to answer the journalists’ questions, saying that “in the next period” Miruna Pascu will issue a statement in which she will express her point of view.

The father, Mihai Pascu, was placed under judicial control for non-compliance with the arms and ammunition regime after, during searches on Thursday morning, illegally possessed ammunition was allegedly found at his home.
