Radu Boroianu confirms negotiations to take over the ICR helm
The Vice-president of the Liberal-Reformer Party Radu Boroianu has confirmed on Monday for Mediafax he is undergoing negotiations to take over the ICR helm, but says nothing is certain.
“I’d like to make statements when things are certain, for the time being they are at the level anyone can see, I don’t like saying the things are neither white nor black,” Radu Boroianu said.
Boroianu admits he is one of the ‘well known cultural managers in Romania’.
“I am sure my name has been mentioned, but complicated procedures are to be carried on. Let’s see first of all if ends meet,” Boroianu added.
Asked whether he is undergoing negotiations for ICR presidency, Boroianu said “Yes, maybe there are several people doing it, I don’t know. I don’t like making suppositions.”
Liberal co-president Gorghiu accuses: ICR leadership, a political barter between Ponta and Tariceanu
Liberal co-president Alina Gorghiu says the ICR director’s resignation is part of a political barter between PM Victor Ponta and Senate Speaker Calin Popescu Tariceanu. According to Gorghiu, the liberals are looking for a person willing to run for the ICR presidency. On the other hand, PNL co-chairman Vasile Blaga announced that it was decided to convene the National Council of the party on May 23. A decision will be taken then on filing a motion of censure.
