The Advanced Center for Medical and Pharmaceutical Research, unique in Romania, has been recently inaugurated in Târgu Mureș (central Romania). The center, equipped with over 400 devices, is worth over EUR 10 M, and was financed through European funds.
The center belongs to the Medicine and Pharmacy University and the specialists working here will be able to determine the genetic profile of the patients and their risks for neurological and cardiovascular diseases.
The center is hosted by a new five-floor building of over 4,000 sqm, with areas for laboratory tests, for medical checking, but also areas of data storage and for drafting scientific papers.
The center is unique in Romania due to its devices’ cutting-edge technology. It has been built in only nine months with EU grants.
