Bucharest has fallen two positions in the Quality of Living City Ranking, on the 109th, according to the Mercer survey for 2019.
On the first position, for the tenth year in a row, is Vienna (Austria), followed by Zurich (Switzerland) and Vancouver (Canada). The bottom positions are occupied by Baghdad (Iraq), Bangui (Central Africa Republic) and Sena’a (Yemen).
The city infrastructure plays an important role in calculating the final score, as well as the easy access to the transportation means and to utilities. Mercer also considers issues such as the political and social environment, economic environment, social-cultural environment, health and medical system, schools and education, public services and transportation, recreational facilities, consumer goods, housing, natural environment.
