MFA: Two Romanians died in the war in Israel
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces another death of a Romanian citizen in the war in Israel. It is about the person who was initially reported missing and whose death was confirmed by the Israeli authorities. She had dual citizenship. It is the second death of Romanian citizens, after the Hamas attack.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs with regret that, until now, the death of two persons with dual citizenship, Israeli-Romanian, residing in the State of Israel, has been confirmed, as follows: – the person whose death was announced by the Israeli authorities on October 9, 2023, who held Israeli-Romanian citizenship, residing in the State of Israel; – the person the family declared missing on October 12, 2023 and whose death was confirmed by the Israeli authorities on October 13, 2023.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sends its condolences to the families and expresses its deep regret for the victims of these attacks. It also reiterates its firm condemnation of terrorism in all its forms. The Embassy of Romania in Tel Aviv and the Consulate General of Romania in Haifa constantly maintain contact with the Israeli authorities to verify information regarding Romanian citizens”, the MFA reports.
