For the first time since we joined the European Union, the number of Romanians from Diaspora returning to the country is higher than those leaving Romania.

According to the INS, the number of immigrants who settled in Romania is higher than those who leave our country.

In 2022, Romania gained over 90,000 residents. They are mainly citizens from the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, who have settled in our country, but there are many Romanians who return to the country after staying in Spain, Italy, Germany and Great Britain.

They are, in particular, young people, aged up to 40, who have returned to their hometowns, where they got a job or where they opened small businesses.
