MP Vlad Cosma – sentenced to 5 years in prison, former head of Prahova County Council, Mircea Cosma – to 8 years

MP Vlad Cosma (photo 1) was sentenced to five years in prison for influence peddling on Tuesday, whereas his father, Mircea Cosma (photo 2 – former President of the Prahova County Council) to eight years, and businessman Razvan Alexe received a sentence of 2 years and a half. The decision is not final. The charges concern the contract awarding procedures.
In the file, Mircea Cosma is accused of receiving EUR 1 million from company managers that had contracts with the Prahova County Council, for granting contracts for works having as beneficiary the County Council. The decision of the High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ – Supreme Court) is not final, according to news.ro.
