Multinational military drills in Babadag shooting range with hundreds of Romanian, American, Ukrainian and Balkan states troops
More than 200 soldiers with the Romanian Land Forces of the ‘Marasesti’ Mechanized Brigade and of the Romanian Naval Forces from 307th Marines Battalion, attend during September 19-30 the training module PLATINUM LYNX 16.5, part of the multinational BLACK SEA ROTATIONAL FORCE 16 (BSRF 16) drills in the Babadag shooting range, Tulcea County. They will be joined by more than 300 other soldiers from Bulgaria, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Republic of Moldova, Slovenia, USA and Ukraine.
The trainings include weaponry firing, first aid practice in the areas of operations and exercises of command and control procedures at subunits.
“PLATINUM LYNX 16.5 aims to increase interoperability between the forces participating in the military drills, to maintain the joint dislocation and training capability, to develop a regional environment favourable to multinational military cooperation and to increase military professionalism,” the Defence Ministry announces.
