Netflix has denied, on Wednesday, any project related to former Minister Elena Udrea. Contacted by, Netflix said: “We are not aware of any project with Elena Udrea.”

‘Gazeta Sporturilor’ revealed on Tuesday that Elena Udrea granted an interview, during which she said she has received a proposal from Netflix to make a series.

“I had, I have a proposal from Netflix to make a series,” says Elena Udrea in an interview granted in Costa Rica to ‘Gazeta Sporturilor’. Udrea says she could become a millionaire in dollars as a result of this deal.

“I received the proposal when I was in Romania, but now they find it even more interesting because I am here,” she added.

Asked if the documentary will eventually be filmed, she replied: “Yes, yes, if the talks are completed. A woman from London came to see me. It seemed very interesting to me,” Udrea also said.

Bucharest Court of Appeals admitted last Friday the appeal filed by former Tourism minister Elena Udrea against the seizure placed by the National Anti-corruption Directorate on her assets. The ruling is final. Anti-corruption prosecutors had seized Udrea’s assets in a file related to the financing of the 2009 electoral campaign.

Udrea is also charged with bribe taking in the ‘Bute Gala’ file, on which a final verdict is expected in June.
