The National Meteorology Administration (ANM) has issued new Code Yellow and Code Orange warnings for storms, Tuesday morning.
Thus, the Code Yellow came into force at 11:00h and expires at 23:00h.
In the mentioned period, in Dobrogea, Muntenia, southern Moldavia, eastern Oltenia, in the Curvature Carpathians and Southern Carpathians as well as in the Banat Mountains there will be periods of high atmospheric instability with torrential rain, frequent electric discharges, wind gusts, hailstorms and tempest. The quantities of water will exceed 25 … 30 l/sqm.
The Code Orange comes into force at 13:00h and ends at 23:00h.
In this period, in the counties of Buzau, Braila, Ialomita and Calarasi, as well as in the continental area of Constanta County, there will be intervals of wind intensification with speeds of 80-90 km/h, torrential rain, frequent electrical discharges and hailstorms.
In short intervals or by accumulation, water quantities will exceed 40 l/sqm and 50 to 60 l/sqm on isolated areas.
Also, the bad weather warning for the whole country has been extended until Thursday at 20:00h. Until then, the weather will be warm, with high thermal discomfort in the afternoon, when the temperature-humidity index will reach and exceed the critical threshold of 80 units.
Weather will become very hot on Wednesday (June 26) in Western Plain, and on Thursday (June 27) in lower areas.
