Romanian meteorologists have issued a new alert on Monday for snowfalls, mixed falls and black ice in most of the regions as of Tuesday morning.
According to the National Meteorology Administration, during January 22, o5:00hr to January 23, 14:00hr, snowfalls will seize most part of the country, starting with the southwestern areas.
However, mild snowfalls are announced in Banat Mountains, Western Carpathians, northern and western Oltenia, southern Banat, as well as in northwestern Muntenia.
The wind gusts will reach 65-80kmph especially in Banat Mountains and on the peaks of the Western Carpathians, which will prompt blizzard.
Sleet and rainfalls will prevail in the western, southern and southeastern regions as of the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, which will favor the black ice.
Forecast for Bucharest: Snowfalls, rains and black ice
Weathermen also announced that the sky will be cloudy in Bucharest as of Monday evening to Tuesday morning and wind will be mild, with the minimum temperatures ranging from minus 5C to minus 3C.
It will start snowing as of Tuesday morning, turning into sleet and rain in the evening. The wind gusts will reach 35kmph and there will be around minus 1C.
From Tuesday night until Wednesday the temperatures will be slightly up to 1C-2C and the mixed falls will favour black ice. Rainfalls will prevail until Wednesday night and the maximum temperature will climb up to 7C.
