Network One Distribution, a technology distributor in Romania, is supporting Tășuleasa Social in the development of the Via Transilvanica project, the tourist trail that has captured the interest of tens of thousands of travelers. The partnership involves support in the project’s development, as well as volunteer activities and promoting the project within NOD’s ecosystem. Additionally, NOD team members will directly participate in walking various segments of the 1,400 km trail over the coming months, with the entire trail set to be completed by the end of next year.

For NOD, Tășuleasa Social’s vision of connecting over 400 communities across 10 counties with a single trail resonates with the company’s mission and its series of national events, “Technology Unites Romania.”

“We are very happy to have more and more companies on board that have strategic thinking and long-term planning built into their structure. The NOD team believes that ‘the future belongs to those who see it coming,’ and we are ready to take the Via Transilvanica project to the next level. To achieve this, we need more and more partners with a shared vision, who are genuinely involved in building #TheTrailThatUnites,” said Alin Ușeriu, founder of Tășuleasa Social.

Via Transilvanica has become Romania’s most viral tourism project, being included by international media in the top 100 recommended destinations for 2024. Thousands of travelers have walked the 1,400 km trail this year, which starts at Putna Monastery, crosses 10 counties, over 400 communities, and 12 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, ending in Drobeta-Turnu Severin. Completed and launched in 2022, the Via Transilvanica project requires constant maintenance, signage, and new facilities—actions that Tășuleasa Social can only undertake with the support of partners.

This is also why NOD became involved in supporting Via Transilvanica. Andrei Militaru, CEO of Network One Distribution, stated, “From the very beginning, The Trail That Unites has been a national project that Romania needed. With vision, passion, and a lot of volunteer work, Via Transilvanica has taken shape and become a symbol of infrastructure that unites people and communities, bringing Romanians together in their own country. We have always believed in Romania and its development potential, especially due to its people, with the support of technology. By becoming partners in building Via Transilvanica, we are pleased to contribute to the sustainable and healthy development of local communities.”

For over 20 years, NOD has been building a national business ecosystem, aiming to develop local economies and communities through technology and digitalization. Currently, over 3,400 organizations are part of this business network, which also has a significant presence in the counties of Suceava, Bistrița-Năsăud, Mureș, Harghita, Sibiu, Brașov, Alba, Hunedoara, Caraș-Severin, and Mehedinți—all of which are crossed by Via Transilvanica.
