One injured as small plane fails to take off at Magura, Sibiu County

A small plane with four people on board has failed on Friday the take off from the Magura airfield in Sibiu County, following the forced landing a person has been injured and transported to hospital, Interior Ministry officials say, reports.

The aircraft had on board four people, the pilot allegedly failed to take off and tried to straighten it. Following the impact with the ground, one person was injured and transported to hospital.

“On board the plane were three men and a woman. The plane failed to take altitude. From the data we have, the plane did not catch fire,” said Odeta Veştemean, spokesman with the Sibiu Prefecture.

According to representatives of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the incident was reported on emergency number 112, several teams of rescuers and transport ambulances were sent to the site.
