In the past 24 hours, Salvamont Romania reported the rescue of nearly 70 individuals from mountain-related incidents. Regrettably, one fatality occurred, and 26 people required hospital transport.

The escalating number of mountain accidents has prompted Salvamont to emphasize the importance of caution and responsibility in mountain activities.

The Salvamont National Dispatch received 71 emergency calls in the mentioned timeframe, with the majority originating from Salvamont Voineasa and Lupeni in the southwest (10 calls each), Salvamont Maramures in the northwest (8 calls), and various other regions.

Despite their swift response, one person lost their life, underlining the critical need for heightened awareness.

Additionally, Salvamont received 52 calls seeking advice and information about different tourist routes in the mountain area.
