89 new Covid-19 infections have been reported in the pas 24 hours in Romania, out of 10,072 conducted tests. 63 Covid-related deaths have been reported by the authorities today, with 6 of them dating back in the past six months. 315 infected patients are in intensive care.
1,078,952 Romanians have been infected with the novel coronavirus since the debut of the pandemic till today, June 7, with 1,043,171 patients being declared cured.
The death toll stands at 30,878, with 63 new more deaths reported today: 39 men and 24 women from Alba, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brașov, Constanța, Cluj, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Gorj, Neamț, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Vâlcea and Bucharest.
47 of the recently announced deaths occurred in the past six months: six deaths in September 2020, 26 in October 2020, 9 in November 2020, 1in January 2021, 3 in February 2021, 1 in March 2021 and 1 in April 2021, in Bihor, Cluj, Neamț and Vâlcea counties.
Two deaths were reported in the 30-39 age group, four deaths in the 40-49 age group, two in the 50-59 age group, 11 deaths among patients aged 60 to 69, 22 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 22 death in elderly over 80.
59 of the recent victims had pre-existing conditions, 3 presented no comorbidity and no other diseases have been detected so far in the case of one victim.
1,671 Romanians infected with SARS-CoV-2 are currently hospitalized, with 315 in intensive care.
