Orange Code for heat wave in Bucharest, several counties on Sunday

The National Meteorology Administration (ANM) issued on Friday new alerts of orange code for heat and thermal discomfort, valid for Saturday and Sunday in several counties and yellow code available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
According to the meteorologists, on Friday the weather will remain very warm, hot in Banat, Crisana, most of Oltenia, Wallachia, Moldavia and locally in Transylvania. Maximum temperatures will reach 35 … 37 degrees C and isolated 38 degrees C and the temperature-humidity index (THI) will exceed the critical threshold of 80 units.
On Saturday, the counties of Bihor, Arad, Timis, Galati and Vaslui, Bacau and Vrancea will be under orange code for heat, while Bucharest and the remaining counties, except for Suceava, Harghita, Covasna and Brasov, will be totally or partially under yellow code. Maximum temperatures will be around 38 degrees C.
On Sunday, ANM announces that the weather will remain hot in Oltenia, Muntenia and in most of Moldavia and Dobrogea regions.
The orange code is valid on Sunday in the counties of Olt, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Ilfov, including Bucharest, Ialomita, Calarasi, Braila, Galati, Vaslui, and in the lowlands of Bacau, Vrancea and Buzau counties.
Maximum temperatures will be of 38-39 degrees C, and thermal discomfort will be particularly high.
The heat wave will persist in the coming days in southern and eastern regions.
