Over 6,400 Ukrainians are employed in Romania
More than 6,400 Ukrainian citizens are integrated into the labor market in Romania, the Minister of Labor, Marius Budai, announced on Wednesday.
According to Budai, on Wednesday morning 6,420 active contracts of Ukrainian citizens were registered, of which 4,282 are contracts that have the start date of the activity from the moment when Russia invaded Ukraine.
Of the total contracts concluded after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, 1,155 are registered in the manufacturing industry, 616 in construction, 495 in hotels and restaurants, in wholesale and retail trade or car and motorcycle repairs, and 345 in the field of administrative services activities or activities of support services.
Most of the Ukrainians, 1,297, found work in Bucharest, 435 in Bistrita-Năsăud county, 269 in Timiş county, 235 in Arad county, 216 in Maramureş county, 161 in Bihor county and 150 in Argeş county.
