Partial Moon eclipse on Monday
A partial Moon eclipse will take place on Monday and will be visible in Romania for about two hours. At the Astronomical Observatory “Amiral Vasile Urseanu”, which will be open between 21:00h and midnight, Jupiter and Saturn planets will also be visible.
The eclipse will have the maximum point at 21:20h, when the bottom of the lunar disk will get an orange-red colour, digi24.ro informs.
The phenomenon will begin at 18:49h, when the Moon has not yet risen. The Moon will enter the penumbra of the Earth at 20:22h as it rises from the east-southeast horizon. From this point on, the eclipse will also be seen in Romania.
The Moon will exit the Earth’s penumbra at 22:18h and the eclipse will end at 23:51h.
The next full Moon eclipse will take place on January 31, 2018, but in Romania it will be partially visible only during the last hour.
