PressOne: Rector of Police Academy has plagiarized almost 70% of the PhD work
The Rector of the ‘Alexandru Ioan Cuza’ Police Academy in Bucharest, Adrian Iacob, has plagiarized almost 70% of his PhD thesis, whereas his entire academic career is based on the ‘Doctor’ title, PressOne informs.
The doctoral thesis was submitted in 2007.
The source argues that the thesis ‘Public Order and National Security’ is in fact a series of paragraphs and pages copied from other authors put together.
The thesis coordinator was Professor Costica Voicu, who was Rector of the Police Academy in 2007. Voicu is one of the founder of the doctoral sector ‘Public Order and National Safety’, along with Gabriel Oprea and Ioan Dascalu, which has approved, since its establishment in 2002, no less than 313 ‘Doctors’.
Adrian Iacob is professor, PhD coordinator, quaestor with the Police, holder member of the National Academy of National Security and Vice-president of the Committee for Military Science, Information and Public Order with CNATDCU – the organism entitled to verify the notifications of plagiarism regarding doctoral works.
