A new protest has been announced in Victoriei Square in Bucharest on Saturday, September 8, almost one month after the Diaspora meeting, which left hundreds injured following the riot police’s intervention in force. The new protest is entitled „A Taste for Freedom”.

The protest will be also attended by pianist Davide Martello, known for playing the piano in various conflict zones or famous protest areas in the world – Taksim Square in Instabul, at Bataclan in France or Euromaidan in Kiev, or in Afghanistan.

Davide Martello will be joining us starting 7 p.m., the one who brought his piano in many conflict zones in the world. It’s important to remain silent to be able to listen to his song for freedom and justice,” reads a Facebook post.

Davide Martello, also known as Klavierkunst is a German pianist of Italian descent.

Born in 1982, he is known for travelling around conflict zones to play his moving self-made grand piano.

Martello has previously been recognised by the European parliament for his “outstanding contribution to European cooperation and the promotion of common values”.
