PSD MP Catalin Radulescu – sentenced to one year and a half on parole. He is running in elections on Sunday

Social-democrat Deputy Catalin Radulescu has been sentenced by the High Court for Cassation and Justice (ICCJ – Supreme Court) to one year and a half on parole. The ruling is final digi24.ro informs.

He is running for a new mandate in the general elections on December 11.

The ICCJ upholds thus the sentence in March in the file for bribe giving and for conducing financial operations incompatible with his office.

The prosecutors indicted Catalin Marian Radulescu in 2014 on charges of: “during January 2013 and February 2014 the defendant, concomitantly with the office of Deputy in Romanian Parliament, had alsomanaged the company SC Concordia Con, Strade SRL, conducting financial operations and trade deeds incompatible with his office. Basically, he subrogated the rights and obligations of the rightful manager, acting at the same time as the company’s director general,” the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) informs.
