Rainfalls, storms expected countrywide

The National Meteorology Administration has issued a warning on Tuesday for moderate atmospheric instability in the entire country valid as of Tuesday until Friday.

Romanian forecasters announced that the weather will get chilly and it will rain as of June 6, 4 p.m. until June 7, 9 a.m., first in the western and northwestern country, as well as in northern Eastern Carpathians and in the western Carpathians, particularly today, June 6 and in the second part of the night to June 7.

There will be thunderstorms, rainfalls, stormwinds and hail. Water quantities will exceed 15-20 liters per square meter and sporadically 35l/sqm.

Starting Wednesday, June 7 and until Friday, the atmospheric instability will extend in all mountain regions, as well as in the southern, eastern and central areas.

ANM informed it might update the alert issued on Tuesday, depending on the evolution of the outlook.
