Roads blocked, trains delayed, hundreds households without energy

The Road Company (CNAIR) has closed several roads and has set restrictions for heavy duty trucks on several national roads in the counties of Bacau, Buzau and Vrancea due to snowfall and strong blizzard which lead to low visibility.
Friday morning, two trains have registered delays of almost 4 hours on the route Targu Jiu-Craiova as the locomotive broke down, capital.ro informs.
National roads in Harghita County were blocked Friday morning due to heavy snowfall and were closed to traffic. A bus with 40 persons aboard was blocked in Lacu Rosu resort. The bus resumed its route after two hours of interventions by road workers.
More than 320 households in Siclod, Harghita County, were disconnected from power, following the broke down of three electric transformers affected by snowfall.
Harghita County is under weather warning until Friday at noon.
The National Meteorology Administration (ANM) issued on Thursday a Code Yellow warning for snowfall in seven counties in Moldavia – Buzau, Vrancea, Galati, Vaslui, Bacau, Neamt and Iasi, in force as of Thursday evening at 22.00h until Friday at 12.00h.
