Romania has switched to winter time on the night of Saturday to Sunday, as 4 a.m. has turned to 3 a.m. The day of October 30 has 25 hours, thus is the longest day of the year.

The official daylight saving time is applied from the last Sunday of March to the last Sunday of October. For winter time switch, the clocks are set back by one hour, making October 30 the longest day of the year.

The winter time switch has not changed the timetable of trains, flights and road transportation.
