All 16 containers with illegal waste brought from UK to Constanta port will be returned to the expediter, the Romanian Coast Guard announced. The inspectors searched all three companies from Bucharest and Ilfov which imported  Dutch-flagged 16 containers of waste from UK and the activities of selling second hand products have been stopped.

At the end of last week, the Dutch-flagged ship has been re-loaded with the 16 waste containers and will be sent back to the expediter in UK.
Two Romanians and a British citizen are investigated for illegally importing waste in Romania in the case of the 16 containers unloaded in Constanta Port.
The Coast Guard released on Facebook photos of the shipment containing bags full of bowls, glasses, second-hand home appliances or broken glass products.
The case prosecutor said the transport would be similar to other previous ones lately. He revealed that around 50 waste containers reached Romania when UK was still part of the EU. “Romania is at major and imminent risk of becoming the entire Europe’s dumpster”, the prosecutor stated.
