Romania wants to buy Bayraktar drones from Turkey, which became legendary for the losses caused to the Russians in the war in Ukraine,

G4Media reports.
There are 18 such drones, with the estimated cost mounting to USD 300 million. The money includes the purchase of the 18 drones and “the initial logistical support package and specific training and training equipment,” according to the Ministry of Defense.

The price of Bayraktar TB2 drones varies depending on the equipment, starting from 1 million dollars to 5 million dollars, according to information on specialized websites.

Baykar did not specify a price for this drone model, but republished on its website more news about crowdfunding campaigns launched in 2022 in Europe to buy Bayraktar drones for Ukraine, with a goal of about 5-5.5 millions of dollars for a drone.

The Ministry of Defense sent a request to the Romanian Parliament. If it receives legislative approval, it will be able to start negotiations with the Turkish company for the purchase of the 18 drones. At the moment, Romania does not have state-of-the-art drones.
