Romanian citizen arrested in Belgium for robbery at a Louis Vuitton store

A 35 year-old Romanian was arrested Wednesday afternoon after an investigation regarding the robbery of a Louis Vuitton store, in Knokke, as a car drove into the store.

The identity of the Romanian was not revealed, but he was taken in on an arrest warrant, according to the Brugge Prosecutor’s Office in Western Flanders, informs.

The Chamber of the Council is to decide on Friday on a possible extension of the arrest warrant.

At least two other suspects managed to escape and are still at large.

The luxury boutique in Knokke was broken in by a car on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday. Attackers took handbags, jewellery and perfumes. Most of the ‘prey’ was found on Wednesday.

An attempt to entry by car into a jewellery store in the same area occurred shortly before the robbery at Louis Vuitton. According to preliminary investigation it could be about the same perpetrators, informs.
