Over a third of the new dentists in France in 2014 have been trained abroad, especially in Romania, Spain and Portugal, the National Order of the dentists in France reporting there is a figure on the rise, according to “Le Figaro”.

Most of them graduated in Romania (218 diplomas in 2014 compared to 205 in 2013), 132 Spanish diplomas and 74 Portuguese diplomas.

According to the above-mentioned source, the origin of the diplomas doesn’t necessarily correspond to their owners’ nationalities, as there were 202 Romanian practitioners registered in 2014, 102 Spanish and 77 Portuguese. However the statistics reveals a major rise in the past four years, the number of Romanian practitioners arrived in France tripling compared to 2010 when only 57 Romanian dentists were enrolled in the French Dentists Order.
