Romanian honey goes to export
A doctor and an engineer from Teleorman have started a honey processing plant with European funds.
Experienced beekeepers, they set up the factory in Bragadiru, near Bucharest. The plant processes honey from 400 beekeepers.
They collect honey from all over the country and they export it in large quantities, barrels of 300 kilos.
Bragadiru factory produces three types of pure honey and some kind of spirulina honey; however the two beekeepers intend to extend production and their honey could treat other affections.
‘We can process up to 1000 tons of honey, from all over the country. Local market is under expectations; people don’t realize the effects of natural honey and prefer to buy it from supermarkets. It’s very difficult to export, because it’s a tricky market, said Vicentiu Gavanescu, quotted by stiri.tvr.ro.
