A Romanian citizen was shot dead on the second day of Christmas, for the shocking reason he has married a local girl. The crime took place in Scoglitti, Sicily.

The 22-year old Romanian was shot dead Tuesday evening while trying to pay a visit to his brother in law, Vincenzo Vindigni, in Scoglitti, Ragusa region, regusah24.it reports. A third person, invited in the Italian’s house, has been slightly wounded.

The local media reports that Vindigni did not agree with the fact that his wife’s sister has married the Romanian. When the brother in law came to visit on the second day of Christmas to have lunch together, the Sicilian shot him.

He admitted the crime in front of the Carabinieri and showed them the site where he had thrown the gun.
