Romanians top the residence permit requests in UK after Brexit

Most of the citizens who submitted applications for residence permits in UK after Brexit are Romanians, 38,000 out of 600,000 applications. Italians rank second after the Romanians and Poles come third.

Non-British citizens have started submitted applications for residence permits in UK since October last year. Applications can be filed until June 2021 in case Brexit will eventually conclude with an agreement.

Interior minister in London has announced that 95% of those who submitted these applications managed to go through all the necessary stages.

Up to 4 million Europeans are estimated to stay in UK.
