Russian frigate, Amiral Grigorovici, carries out war-games shooting in the Black Sea
Russelian frigate, Amiral Grigorovici, has carried out war-games shooting in the Black Sea. It is for the first time that a ship from the Russian Black Sea Fleet uses a Kalibr cruise missile to hit a naval target, Russian military authorities have announced, radiochisinau.md reports.
“According to the combat training plan, the frigate Amiral Grigorovici, of the Black Sea Fleet, carried out a war-fighting shooting to hit with the Kalibr missile system a target in a Black Sea navy shooting range,” the Press Office of the Russian Fleet informed.
It was for the first time that a Black Sea Fleet ship carries out a firing exercise with the Kalibr precision missile system, the press office said.
“The missile successfully has hit the target simulating an enemy ship at a distance of about 40 nautical miles (about 80 kilometres),” according to Russian authorities.
